Job Description

Ulster BOCES is seeking a visionary and collaborative Coordinator of Instructional Services who brings a strong passion for inclusive practices and a commitment to fostering belonging for all learners. This leader will guide our Preventive Action Team to support school districts in implementing inclusive systems and structures that ensure equitable learning opportunities. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of special education regulations and evidence-based intervention strategies, experience in a school district leadership role, and hold a valid NYS administrative certification.

Salary commensurate with experience and training. Salary range $95,000 - $115,000.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  1. Designing and facilitating high-impact professional learning experiences for educators.
  2. Overseeing our regional academic summer school program.
  3. Contributing their unique attributes and expertise to the Educator Edge Crew - a collaborative team that supports professional growth and community across our region.
  4. The Coordinator will be expected to stay current and connected to NYSED initiatives and publications, particularly in the area of NY Inspires and the ongoing transformation of learning experiences in New York State schools.
  5. This role requires a growth-oriented mindset and a commitment to inquiry-driven leadership to deepen our collective capacity to create student-centered, inclusive, and innovative learning environments across Ulster County and beyond.

WORK SCHEDULE:
12 Month Schedule
Monday through Friday

Job Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NYS SDA, SDL, and/or SBL Certification; 
  • Master's Degree in Education, Special Education or closely related field;
  • Five (5) years' experience as an educator;
  • Experience with supervision of staff, program and technology development; and
  • Effective communication, planning and computer skills
