The Adult Education program at our new location, IPark87, is seeking individuals who have a skill they would like to teach others. These may be taught evenings at IPark87, after 4pm up until 9pm, Mondays through Thursdays with a potential for Saturdays. Classes could include things like cooking, language, crafts, music, recreational games and writing to name just a few. All positions are hourly and flexibility is appreciated. Applicants will be contacted to provide a course proposal.
Rate of Pay $28.00/Hour
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community Education instructors bring their unique experience to the courses they are teaching. They are expected to be available 15 minutes prior to the class and prepare their classroom for instruction. Classes may include cooking, language classes, computer classes, music classes, photography, sewing or recreational games to name a few.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Generally, between 4:00pm and 9:00pm, weeknights, with the potential for Saturdays.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Ensure schedule is confirmed with the Adult Education office.
- Provide instruction for the agreed upon hours
- Prepare an agenda for the course instruction
- Collect sign-in sheets from the office and ensure that they are completed, returning them to the office.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent experience related to their topic of instruction.
