Job Description

Ulster BOCES Adult Education is seeking Licensed Electricians, Electrical Instructors or Electrical Engineers to teach Low Voltage, Electrical Theory, National Electrical Code, Wiring, Electrical Trade Safety, Solar and/or Green Technology Theory Overview for our Adult Electrical Apprentice Program. This is a non-benefited position and fingerprints are required.

Rate of Pay $28.00/Hour

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Licensed Electricians, electrical instructors or electrical engineers needed to teach various subjects for the NYS approved Electrical Apprentice Program.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Positions are hourly and flexibility is required. Classes are taught evenings in our new location, IPark 87, typically 6pm to 9pm, two nights per week. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Ensure schedule is confirmed with the Adult Education office.
  • Provide instruction for the agreed upon hours.
  • Prepare an agenda and materials for the course instruction.
  • Collect sign-in sheets from the office and ensure that they are completed, returning them to the office.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed.
  • Submit accurately completed timesheet to Adult Education office. 
  • Coordinate with Career Counselor with regard to the program requirements.
Job Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalency and must have experience as an licensed electrician, electrical instructor or electrical engineer.
