Limited afternoon/evening commitment starts in mid-spring for teacher interviews and program planning. Daytime commitment from July through August. Fingerprinting required. COMPENSATION - As per Ulster BOCES Administrators' Association contract for unit members - $9,180 for all others To be legally employed in this position, you must possess a valid NY State administrative certificate and strong understanding of best practices in teaching. Experience with At Risk students a plus. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To work with representatives of participating districts and the Supervisor of Summer School to plan and deliver all aspects of the regional academic summer school. WORK SCHEDULE: April – June as needed for program planning and staff recruiting. July and August – daily during registration, classes, exams, and grade reporting. SPECIFIC DUTIES: - Interviews and recommends summer school staff.
- Establishes course schedules, registration, attendance, and grade reporting procedures.
- Meets with guidance counselors from participating districts on registration and grade reporting procedures.
- Plans and conducts registration informs staff of appointments as determined by registration.
- Supervise office to ensure accurate communications on students’ attendance, discipline and grade reporting with students, parents, home school, and Instructional Services.
- Attends to special needs students’ accommodations for class time and exams by securing adequate support for enrolled students from home districts.
- Orients summer school staff, supervises instruction and ensures that summer school procedures are enforced.
- Orders regents exams, monitors student attendance and insures a conducive atmosphere to support student success.
- Completes application and all reports required by SED and the Ulster BOCES summer school program.
- Keeps the Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services informed of all behavior incidents.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services.

Locations include the Center for Innovative Teaching & Learning (CITL) at Anna Devine and Port Ewen. Fingerprinting required. All Civil Services laws, rules and regulations apply. Civil Service Classification: Non-Competitive. Merit and fitness examination does not apply. Rate of Pay: $20/hour GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This is routine manual work that deals with the preparation and service of food. On occasion, Food Service Helpers may perform cooking duties involving a lesser degree of skill than regularly required of employees in the classification of Cook or Assistant Cook. The work is performed under the immediate supervision of a Cook or Assistant Cook. Work is reviewed by observation. Supervision over the work of others is not a function of this class.
