| Principal, Career Pathways Programs | JP5750 | Ulster BOCES is seeking a Principal of Career Pathways Programs for a full-time, 12 month position. The chosen candidate will play an integral role in providing each student with an educational experience which focuses on preparing them for a bright and successful future. Salary commensurate with experience and training. Salary range starting at $136,200.00. SPECIFIC DUTIES: - Implements a comprehensive, outcomes-based program key to the needs of the workplace of the future such that students completing the program can demonstrate future readiness.
- Makes recommendations concerning the Career Pathways Programs administration and instruction.
- Makes recommendations for adjustment in the program to fleet changing job trends and student interest, in consultation with our High Education and Industry partners.
- Makes recommendations for the development of new programs consistent with the aims of the Career Pathways Program.
- Articulates the educational philosophy guiding the Career Pathways Education Program to the school districts, parents, and students of the participating districts.
- Maintains current knowledge of all rules and regulations affecting the delivery of educational programs.
- Supervises the collection, review, and submission of all forms and reports as requested by the District Superintendent and/or designee.
- Develops and manages program budget for approval by the District Superintendent, monitors student activity funds, and monitors expenditure of funds for instruction.
- Supervises formal assessment/counseling procedures to identify appropriate programs and intervention for students.
- Recruits and makes recommendations to the District Superintendent for hiring all personnel in the Career Pathways Programs.
- Supervises and is responsible for evaluation of certified and service personnel in the Career Pathways Programs.
- Coordinates the in-service orientation and training of personnel with special responsibility for staff administrative procedures and instructions.
- Maintains membership in, and participates in the affairs of professional societies devoted to the advancement of Career Pathways Programs.
- Informs the program leadership team of ongoing program developments and needs.
- Assumes responsibility for the safety and administration of the school plant.
- Assumes other duties assigned by the District Superintendent or designee.
